Interdye Asia 2011 Exhibition & Conference
The first Interdye Asia 2011 Exhibition was held in Ahmedabad on 8-10 December 2011 at Gujarat University Convention & Exhibition Centre, Ahmedabad.
Mr.Narendra Modi, Hon.Chief Minister of Gujarat inaugurated the Exhibition on 7th December 2011. In his address, Mr Modi stated that many developed countries are averse to enter into the dyestuff business due to the issuance of hazardous waste. Gujarat should now target the global markets instead of focusing only on the domestic market. The more the Asian countries work together, the better impact they can make on the global map, MrModi declared.
Mr Saurabhbhai Patel, Minister of State - Industries, Energy & Petrochemicals, Govt. of Gujarat and Mr K.Jose Cyriac, Secretary, Dept. of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India graced the occasion as the Guests of Honour.
Mr. Wang Zhuo, President, China Dyestuff Industry Association in his address stated that the event is a reflection of the profound friendship that exists between the industries of both India and China.
Other distinguished dignitaries included Mr.Ram Ajekar, President DMAI, Mr. Janak Mehta, Imm. Past President, DMAI, Mr.Wang Zhuo, President, China Dyestuff Industry Association, Mr. Wang Lie, Vice-Chairman, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Mr.Chen Zhihua, Secretary General, China Dyeing & Printing Association, Mr.Tian Liming, Secretary General, China Dyestuff Industry Association, Mr.Satish Wagh, President, Chemexcil and Mr.Shankerbhai Patel, President, GDMA. A host of many delegates from India and abroad also attended the inaugural function.
More than 150 reputed manufacturers of Colorant Industry from India, China, Korea, Taiwan participated as the exhibitors to showcase their products to the global audience. Around 3000 visitors from UK, Pakistan, China and India visited the exhibition, which provided a unique business channel and trade platform for the manufacturers, dealers and buyers of the Colorants and Chemicals Industry in India, China and the rest of the world.
International Conference was also held on 8th December 2011, wherein reputed speakers from India and abroad made presentations on the Current Scenario and Future Trends in the Indian Colorant Industry as well as Indian Dyeing & Priting Industry.

The Interdye Asia 2011 Exhibition was a grand success.
