Re : Revision in the Duty Drawback for Dyes & Dye Intermediates
As you are aware, we have been submitting our strong representation to the concerned authorities from time to time for upward revision of duty drawback for dyestuffs and intermediates based on the data submitted by our members on various products.
We have now been advised by Shri Rajiv Talwar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Dept of Revenue, Central Board of Excise & Customs New Delhi vide his letter No.F.No.609/07/2012-DBK dated 22nd March 2012 (copy enclosed) seeking data from our members in the enclosed proforma for fixation of All Industry Rates of Duty Drawback along with a new schedule of Average of Rates of Service Tax Refund for the year 2012-2013.
The exercise is under way at the Ministry to rework and revise the rates of duty drawback as impacted by the changes made in the excise and custom duties in the Union Budget 2012-2013. All Industry rates of duty drawback are worked out considering the consumption of input materials and incidence of duties on these inputs.
As we are required to submit the above information to the concerned Department, we request you to please ensure prompt submission of the proforma within the above stipulated date positively i.e. on or before 16th April 2012.
